Janalé Rhodes

Janalé was born and raised in Oakland, California. She attended Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia where she earned an MBA. She earned a multiple subjects credential through Loyola Marymount University and began her teaching career in 2014 as a first grade teacher in Oakland before transitioning to middle school. This is her fourth year at Gateway Middle School and she’s excited to continue fostering a love of reading and writing with her students. Janalé enjoys traveling with her family, baking, and listening to music in her free time.
