A Little Extra Help for Growing Minds

Middle School academic work is designed to introduce students to increasing amounts of rigor and independence as they prepare the challenges of high school, college and beyond. But we don't expect students to go it alone! GMS' robust tutoring program not only ensures students have access to academic support but also is an opportunity to connect with positive teen or adult mentors and build relationships.

Tutoring Details

The Gateway Tutoring program is a unique after-school academic support program for Gateway students who require additional support with homework and class work. Teachers and volunteers work with small groups of students four days per week from 3:30-4:30 PM.

Gateway staff organizes volunteers from Gateway High, GMS families, and the surrounding neighborhood to tutor students. Students receive help in all subject areas including Math, Science, Learning Seminar, and Humanities.
